No One's Going to Take Me Alive

11/03/2010

Back about a week ago I attended another concert. The artist I saw was Muse... more of you should know them for they are much more mainstream nowadays. They can really put on a show. I went with two of my best friends Jon Hale and Michelle King. I was the third wheel... but that does not bother me one bit.

Metric- Far Away

Metric- Close up

The opening band, Metric was great. I didn't realize before tonight that I was already familiar with their songs. They have been featured on a few movie sound tracks recently, which is where I recognized them from. I was totally suggest checking them out. I actually plan on dropping one of their tracks at a Halloween Party I am Djing.

MUSE- Opening/ LOOK AT THAT STAGE!

Muse has been a part of my life for at least 10 years. They have introduced  many ideas and themes back into mainstream rock.

Muse- Far Away

A Piano with lights that dance when keys and notes are played.

They are big on synths and very digital sounds. They have also a strong influence from classic music pieces and carry a sci-fi edge to their sound.

Drummer and Vocalist

Bassist

In many aspects I see parallels to Rage against the machine in the themes of their lyrics. For a three person group, they put out an immense amount of sound! Here are a couple videos to show you how intense the stage can be.

MUSE - NEW BORN

Well hope you enjoy! More to come about homecoming week soon!
