Did you hear? IUE enrollment is up by 20%! Do you know what that means? We have close to 3,000 students on campus! No wonder I have a hard time trying to find a parking spot!
I think that our enrollment increase is incredible! It's so great to see so many people choosing IUE for their post-secondary education journey! I think the majority of the credit goes to the Admissions office for doing a wonderful job recruiting new students! Actually, I was in an Ambassadors meeting yesterday and we were informed that we already have like 1,000 prospective students for the 2010-2011 school year & close to 90-something applicants for the same year. That's mind blowing to think that so many people have already inquired about coming to school here and/or have already applied for the next school year! This definitely shows the community that Indiana University East is a strong force in the Eastern Indiana/Western Ohio school pool!
Speaking of Ambassadors, we have a ton of events, phone calls, and high school visits this semester. We've actually gone a little event happy (which is a very good thing)! It seems like there are some weeks where we have 3 events back-to-back! It's going to be crazy, but so much fun getting to welcome prospective students, new students, and others what IU East is all about!
Well, kiddos...I need to get off of here and get my work done for next week. But before I go, I want to give a shout out to our volleyball team for being UNDEFEATED! Great job Lady Red Wolves! =)
