Oh Deer!!!.... It's going to be a good year! :-)

09/19/2009

Well I didn't have an incredibly eventful week at school this week. The only thing that was somewhat eventful is that on Wednesday a deer tried to sit in the front seat of my car with my brother, I live in Connersville and the way I get to school is I drive to Liberty and take US 27 to school. Well I was driving down the road and I knew that deer are going to be out since deer season is around the corner, so I was on the look for deer, I saw out of the corner of my eye something large and brown. My first thought is "my goodness that is a HUGE dog.", I took my foot off the gas when I saw it and put my foot on the brake to slow down, I thought that the creature was going back to where it came from when suddenly the buck jumps right in front of my car!!! I didn't have time to do anything, I just stomped the brake and prayed the car would stop before I hit the deer, I don't know how close I got to hitting the deer but thankfully I didn't hit it and it scampered into the woods. Needless to say I was really freaked and really shaken up and I pulled over on the side of the road and my brother finished driving to school.

My classes are going great!!!. :-). I have made a personal goal that I am going to do really well this semester, my goal is to have straight A's in all my classes and to get a pass in my M201 class, I am still waiting to get my placement for M201 though, I hope that I get that soon, I am really looking forward to that this semester. M201 is a field experience class. I have to complete 30 hours in the classroom for M201, this is where I will basically act as a teachers aide, I am really excited and really looking forward to getting my placement and to start in the classroom. Tuesday in Geology we learned about Volcano's and Volcanic Rocks, I found it really interesting, I like rocks and I like to learn about them but I am also really fascinated by volcano's, I can't explain why I just find them really interesting. I would certainly be to terrified to get anywhere near an active volcano but, I think that they are neat to read and learn about, especially to see picutres and vidoes of them. I really enjoy all of my classes, in a couple of my classes I got off to a rough start just because I was making changes in my schedule and also I wasn't clear on what to do for class but now, we are heading into week 4 and I feel great about all of my classes, I am having a lot of fun in them and my instructors are great! I also have to take the Praxis 1 this semester, I have to have this taken before I can begin taking methods in the spring, I am a little nervous about this to be honest, I don't really know what to expect, if there is anyone out there that has taken Praxis 1 and you have any helpful hints or tips for me I would greatly appriciate them because I am really nervous about this. My goal for the Praxis is to pass all 3 sections on the first time and with ease.

Oh yea!! My Twitter is finally being fed in on my blog so now you all can see what is going on with me between blogs, to be honest though I sometimes forget I have Twitter, haha so I don't always post but I am trying to get better at this. Also I have a new camera, so I will be able to take pictures and videos and post them on here for everyone to see, so that is exciting.

Hope that everyone has a great week!
