Services Provided

Escorts

An escort service is available to students, faculty and staff until campus closes. Persons needing an escort may contact the campus operator during the following times:

Monday- Thursday 8:00 am- 9:00 pm
Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm
Saturday 8:30 am- 12:30 pm

If an escort is needed after the switchboard closes prearrangements should be made through the Indiana University East Police Department prior to the date of the escort.

Anyone who has a need for and escort for a predetermined date and time should contact the IUEPD Whitewater 131 to schedule the escort.

Persons may contact the IUEPD at ext. 429 to schedule an escort that will be needed after the campus switchboard closes or for future dates.

Lost & Found

The Indiana University East Police Department maintains the Lost and Found for the university. Persons finding lost or strayed items should contact the Indiana University East Police Department at ext. 424 or bring the item to the IUEPD office, Whitewater Hall Room 131. Persons who have lost items should come to the IUEPD office and complete a lost item report.

Locating Persons at IU East

The Indiana University East Police Department will attempt to locate students or faculty only in emergency situations.

Emergency notification may be for situations involving, death, serious injury or illness where the student or faculty member will need to leave class or work.

The Indiana University East Police Department will determine if the emergency request warrants action, and will convey any emergency message.

Vehicle Assistance

IUEPD Officers will assist persons needing vehicle assistance for lock-outs, jumpstarts, or inflating a tire.

All persons will be required to sign a Waiver of Liability form prior to any service being received.
