An interview to myself… Enjoy!
“Okay Morgan, can I call you that(?), I am going to give you questions that I need answered for when you become famous. They won’t be difficult at all, so don’t worry this should be fun!”
“Well then let’s get started!”
M1: Describe yourself in three words.
M2: Peachy, ditsy, and one time I was told I was a ray of sunshine, so ray of sunshine finally answer!
M1: If you could have your dream job what would it be?
M2: That’s a hard one! I’ve been told I would be a great news anchor, however I’d want to do sports. More people seem to care about sports than the world ending or who we bombed in my opinion. Plus I really love the movie Anchorman, Ron Burgundy is my inspiration, just kidding! However I have a slight obsession with weddings, like I spend my Fridays watching Say Yes To The Dress and every bridal show possible. I don’t know why, but the idea of seeing people happy on such a big day just makes me happy! So I think that being a wedding planner or having a wedding dress shop would be an amazing dream job too!
M1: All of the above sound fun! Okay next question, what is your favorite animal?
M2: I have two actually, but ones a fish! My first is an otter, I seriously love otters. I saw one at an aquarium and cried because they were so cute! Like they were all cuddled up together and the fact that they crack clams on their tummies and hold hands just melts my heart! Now my second favorite animal is a shark! I mean they have a whole week dedicated to sharks! They just swim around and are like, “yeah I could eat you” and I think that is pretty cool.
M1: Well that’s not weird at all… If you have one weird obsession what is it and why?
M2: I have a super strange obsession with red heads and freckles…
I don't know this person...
I don’t know why, maybe because my first crush had both but I obsess over them! They don’t even have to be together! Like people with freckles make me jealous and I’m so in love with them! I have a great friend with red hair and I totally want her children, in a non-weird way.
M1: Nope that’s weird no matter what. Okay real question, pick three celebrities to be friends with, marry, and kill. Go!
M2: Taylor Swift hands down BFF. The girl and I would be soul sisters. I’d probably marry Scott Eastwood because he’s related to Clint Eastwood and he’s a cowboy and I really like cowboys for some reason? But I’d kill Opera. No offence to her, but the lady gives away like free cars and I’ve never got one and I don’t like that.
M1: If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
M2: Weird as this sounds, wow I say a lot of weird stuff, I’d want to be a natural blonde. I just really like blonde hair! I wouldn’t want red hair because I’m not about to be considered soul less, and my brown hair is just boring. I love my sister’s natural blonde hair and totally wish I had it! Or add freckles, I’d look preshhh with freckles. Or longer eye lashes!
M1: Truth or dare?
M2: Truth duhhh!
M1: Have you ever been in love?
M2: I’ve told people I loved them but no, never. I find it to be a foreign thing for me, I consider myself to have a black hole of a heart. However I did think in high school I was going to marry a kid named Andy, who’s off at IUB studying to become a doctor. He was my senior year sweetheart to say the least, and I really thought he was my forever, but people change and I’m glad today that I’m not with him. He isn’t the guy I liked in high school, and I’m sure as goodness not the girl he knew in high school!
M1: So you’re saying you’ve changed since high school?
Me in high school... Still awkward, and this was at State Fair Band Day. I marched piccolo... JUDGE ME!
M2: Oh yes! And thank goodness too! I’ve matured a little more. Haven’t gotten any taller though, which sucks. I drink coffee and water instead of sweet tea now. I’ve learned that not everything is black and white and there is color out there. I don’t take everything so extreme like I used to. Forest Gump was right, life is like a box of chocolates. I think my favorite thing I’ve learned though is how to forgive people. Yes I should hate the boy who just used me and then threw me away, but instead I care for him. Really I just hope for the best for him, and hope he makes the right choices in life, because that’s all you really can do to forgive someone is to wish the best for them. And I do.
M1: Deep stuff man! If you could say one thing to anybody in the world what would it be?
M2: I’d tell my grandma that I’ll be the best person I can be, and that one day I’ll make her proud. That’s it.
M1: Why did you choose IUE? You’ve never told me?
M2: Because I didn’t choose IUE, my mom did. Honestly this is not where I figured I’d end up at all. I had my heart set for IUB, that’s where I thought all the action is, plus basketball at assembly hall is heaven! However my mom didn’t think I was ready for such a big school, of course she didn’t. So she told me to go here for the semester, and if I got a 3.5 GPA I could transfer. So I worked my butt off and got a 3.9 my first semester, only to change my mind and stay. I stayed for a couple of reasons really. One being John Dalton gave me an opportunity I never would have gotten anywhere else, which was working on a television set. I also was an ambassador and loved that, plus at the time I was head over heels for that darn boy who broke up with me. So I felt the need to stay, and I haven’t regretted it since! Besides the boy of course.
M1: Well I’m out of questions, anything you’d like to add?
M2: That it is weird to interview yourself, and that silly saying about you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take is true! All opportunities are worth the blood, sweat, and tears, take them. Even if you don’t get paid to. Oh and take every free t-shirt available to you!!!!
