Obama Is Livin' In Da Hood

09/18/2014

As you all (and by all I mean the three people who actually read this...) have noticed I never truly never write about the norm. You're not going to get the typical "My Life At IUE" story. Nope not here, so if that's what you're looking for I suggest you read someone else's blog... But if you feel as though this is interesting I say keep on reading my weird friend!

So today I woke up in one of my weird moods. These moods are very strange to me because I normally wake up in happy, pleasant moods, so this weird mood is off. So I'm off when I am woken up by my phone buzzing a half a mile a minute and who is it but none other than my best friend Willy who is all the way in Texas. His message said its going to be a good day! Me being in this weird mood said I hope so, a very typically response from a morning Morgan. Willy then went on to explain why he is in such a good mood, all great reasons too. This optimism made me think, "What makes me happy?". So I started to think and here's a very brief idea of what makes me happy.

To start nothing makes me happier than my kitty Diamond. She's the worlds biggest brat (or another B word) but I love her! I think I like her so much because I've kept her alive for like seven years and I consider that a major accomplishment. I also am the happiest when I have a sweet tea in my hand. I am in no way southern, but golly do I love me a good sweet tea! It's my go-to in any situation. Another is how happy it makes me to get ready every morning. It's not something I take lightly, normally. I do my hair, pick out my clothes, do whatever I feel will make me happy that day. I'm in no way saying I'm some crazy girl who dresses myself to impress others, nope that's not correct. I do it to make me happy! Channel your inner white girl cause a good Pumpkin Spice Latte makes me so happy! It's that time of year again and the PSL is back! Currently drinking one, I must admit it is heaven. No I'm not wearing Uggs and my North Face with some leggings, I'm just enjoying my coffee while listening to my ethics teacher rambling on about morals.

Now that you know a couple of things that make me happy I have an assignment for you (as in the two people reading this)! Write a list of 100 things you love. In no particular order write down your loves. Do this in a quite, serene place with your favorite drink (I suggest a non-alcoholic beverage so you can think straight...) and just write what you love. You'll be surprised how much in this world truly makes your day!

Oh and the title is something my ethics teacher said and I found it funny.

Carpe Diem!
