My Recent Life in Pictures as well as my America's Next Top Model FAIL!

Lunch in London! Tower Bridge!

HIYA! So tomorrow I take my last final for spring term! After tomorrow I have April and May off, then take my only two finals the first week of June and then I come HOME! Where has the time gone?!? I can’t believe I only have two more months left! NO! I leave for Rome this Saturday where I’ll stay one week, then my parents come for a week and we’re going to the new Harry Potter WB Studio tour in London(!!!!) and then I go to Spain for 9 days! PHEW! I’m kind of glad I’ll have May to just revise and relax before I come home and become very busy loving on my sister and parents and visiting everyone I have missed so much!! (PLUS I need to catch-up on my WalMarting. I'll need to go to WalMart at least 3 times a day to make up for lost time. Obviously?)

But I’m going to show you my life in pictures as of late, beginning with my adventures from London this past Friday. I was asked to go to London and get some pictures taken for IUE to help promote study abroad since I am one of the only Red Wolves to ever do this. I dragged my friend Lucia along for the ride and we started our day very early, catching a 730 train to arrive at Trafalgar Square by 930. We met up with a professional photographer there and I immediately had to get my Gisele Bundchen going. I had to stand and laugh at nothing and look like I was having the time of my life at 930 in the morning. You would think that after all of the seasons I’ve watched of America’s Next Top Model that I would’ve learned something. Turns out, no, not at all. I know how to vaguely “smize” which can sometimes be misconstrued as a look of agonizing constipation? That’s cool, right? I was very bashful that day, maybe because people and I mean EVERYONE who walked by, kept INTENSELY staring at me (one person actually took a picture of me), trying to figure out if I was famous or a model or something. I even got a true Juno-esque stink-eye from an 80 year old man who held my gaze for a solid minute. It was awkward.  The photographer was so nice and he had his little helper who was a small French man with a thick accent and an even thicker scarf. He didn’t really talk much but when he did he was very nice and smiled very often. The photographer was a legit photographer and photographed OBI-WAN!! Ewan McGregor for you non-Jedis. As my friend Lucia and I were freaking out at this news in the taxi, he reached his hand out and said, “Yea, you can touch my hand if you like.” HA! It was great and he put up with me and my horrible modeling skills well. By the end of the shoot I was like a 5 year old brat who didn’t want to be at the shopping mall any longer. I became restless and every time the camera wasn’t flashing, my face became blank. But again, the photographer gave me breaks and joked with me trying to get me happy again, I’m surprised he didn’t offer me a sticker or a sucker or something. I was that bad. I just hope that IUE got some good, usable shots, which I’ve been told they did (well as good as they could be with the awful material (me) they had to work with). After the shoot Lucia and I enjoyed lunch in the beautiful sun right in front of the Tower Bridge and proceeded to walk almost 5 miles around London!  I was so tired!! I had only gotten 2 hours of the sleep the night before and I wore Vans the whole day. No bueno. We visited The Museum of London and got to learn about the plague and The Great Fire of London (1666) and got to try on 17th century firemen’s hats and hold the buckets they would have used to put the fire out. Those things were HEAVY! I’m assuming those men had some pretty nice muscles (before they burned to death) to heave those buckets full of water….yum. Oh! And there was a little summer night rendezvous in a room where there were people gathered in fancy, Victorian dress and holograms on the wall of people talking and partying it up, A Midsummer Night’s Dream style. AND we got to go to King’s Cross to Platform 9 3/4!!! We decided not to go to Hogwarts so we wouldn’t miss our train, our carts did get half-way through, though.

Lunchtime with LUCIA!

St. Paul's Cathedral

ALMOST!!!!

Lucia attacking Hogwarts like a spider money, as you do.

WHITSTABLE!

FISH&CHIPS!

MISTAH WHIPPY'S!!

Artery clogging fat. So bad yet so delicious.

After an eventful day in London, my weekend was spent studying! I had a Biology exam today and an in-class Religion&Sex essay. I had to study Tantra FOREVER and let me tell you, it is definitely not as fun as one would imagine. On Sunday, I took a break with my friend, Sam and we went to Whitstable for fish and chips by the sea! So yummy and fresh!! There I also got a small, single with flake ice cream cone which is the best thing of my life! The ice cream is aerated and thick and SO GOOD!!! And a Cadbury flake is like a stick of folded chocolate, if that’s how you describe it?

STUDY TIME!

But I now have to study for my LAST Biology final this term! So let me get back to listening to SPICE (still one of my favorite albums) and revising the kidney and the urinary system! Yuuuuuummmmmyyyyy! Talk to you guys later!  Enjoy the pictures!! xx
