I can't wait to get naked.

Nearly Naked tshirt. :)

"Did you see some of the STAT members wearing their Nearly Naked shirts on Wednesday? Those are the shirts for this year. How awesome?! In case you are unfamiliar with last year's shirts, these glow in the dark as well (and they really do, I tested it haha)... Word around the streets is [some] people find the event a little inappropriate. This is what I have to say to those people..."

Okay, so after all the talk, Homecoming is FINALLY coming up this next week. I'm really excited about it and for a few reasons: we find out who has made top three for Homecoming Court, the Nearly Naked Mile, and Patrick Burns for the Ghost Hunt at IU East. For a complete list of activities during Homecoming week, click here.

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who voted for me this week. I have had tremendous amounts of support; so many people have told me they voted for me and hope I win. It means a lot to me that someone would take a moment to vote for me (especially those who I do not know). Oh, and I will quit spamming everyone on Facebook now. If you still haven't voted for your King and Queen, but want to, click here. The booth closes for good at 5pm today. I'll see everyone at the Pep Rally at 4pm in the Graf on October 26th. :) Wish me luck!

Me during the IU game. :)

I want to take a moment to talk more about the Nearly Naked Mile. I'm really excited about this event and I'm still working out the last minute plans. Did you see some of the STAT members wearing their Nearly Naked shirts on Wednesday? Those are the shirts for this year. How awesome?! In case you are unfamiliar with last year's shirts, these glow in the dark as well (and they really do, I tested it haha). Have you seen our Facebook event page? If not, click here for all the information.

I want to emphasize a few things about the Nearly Naked Mile. This is a charity event. Please please please please bring clothes donations. Word around the streets is that [some] people find the event a little inappropriate. This is what I have to say to those people: You do not have to get naked, so no worries there! :) The whole point of it being "nearly naked" is to signify that someone is willing to take the clothes off their back and give them to someone in need. There will be plenty of people at the event who are fully clothed and have brought gently-worn clothing for donation. This is an awesome event that is for a great cause. I encourage everyone to hype up the Nearly Naked as much as possible. Also, I encourage people to paint their bodies, wear crazy costumes, show high levels of school spirit, and HAVE FUN. There will be an award to the person with the best costume, as well as awards for the first male and female to cross the finish line.

Also, join us at the Homecoming Bonfire. Later that night, Patrick Burns (star from TruTV's "Haunting Evidence) will be there to tell us about his paranormal experiences. We will then go on a Ghost Hunt on campus. If you do not wish to participate in the ghost hunt, please feel free to warm yourself around the fire. No biggie. This will be fun and Halloween-ish. :)

Last weekend was a lot of fun. As you know, STAT went to Indiana University for the Indiana University vs. Arkansas State game. Luckily, we won, but the game was incredibly close. We had a lot of fun. :) When we arrived, we ate breakfast complete with pancakes, sausage, eggs, fruit and more. I was able to see some of my Leadershape friends, which was really cool. We were also able to see the IU Women's Basketball practice and visit the IU shop (I spent way too much). Oh, by the end of the game, I was burnt on the left side of my face. That was soooo cool - not. Haha!

Some of the STAT members.

As far as classes and what not, I'm going through a severe case of Senioritis. I can't focus anymore. I don't want to do school work. Honestly, I think I'm overwhelmed at the moment. I think once Homecoming is done and over with, I'll be back on track. But man, it's hard. I'll push forward, and I will be fine, but it sucks. I'm mentally checked-out at the moment.

At least Monday is my birthday. My friend Jade (who also has the same birthday) and I will be going shopping tomorrow. Maybe I need a nice girl's day out?

That's all I have for now. Expect a video or two by next week. :)
