Today begins my third week at IUE and everything is going well. I've made it my goal to do extra well this semester and participate in more activities around campus. So far classes are good. I've started on my demonstration speech for class and I'm confident that everyone will get alot of good information from my topic. At first I had a hard time thinking of a good topic before I settled on "how to take great photos with a digital camera" . I think its always best to choose material you know a fair amount about or something that is equally interesting and useful. So just a little while ago I checked my email and on Mondays IUE sends a newsletter to everyone (well i assume it everyone, i cant remember if i had to sign up to get it or not) and this evening I noticed the "Talk like a Pirate Week" celebration that the library is hosting. I didnt know this existed but apparently if you go to the library anytime until the 19th (pirate speak day) and give your best pirate impression than you can get prizes. So...I've been working on it lol. I think I might either use "Yo ho me hearties!" or "Shiver me Timbers" or maybe "Arr!! this be pleasin' to me eye" . Did you know you can change your facebook language from english to pirate english? Try it its alot of fun :] Lastly, here are some of my photos.
