Hello Redwolves!

07/19/2009

I hope everyone has been having a great summer break and did fantastic on any summer classes they took. Fall 2009 classes start August 31st so I hope everyone has registered, if not you still have time, just remember registering early gives you the chance to take classes they might otherwise fill up before you realize it. Not fun being on a wait-list especially when your career depends on it! Make sure you look for your books as well from the book store. If you are looking for other alternatives to purchasing your books some great websites I use to purchase my books are www.half.com (ebay associated) and www.amazon.com. Please do not wait until it is too late because then it is super hard to get books with everyone hassling to get them all on time. Make sure to check the bookstore for all the books which are required for class because some things instructors like you to have are workbooks which they have put together as well as a textbook, the workbooks are never expensive and the bookstore will help you find the right books you need for class but be sure to look around first! If you can't make it in the the bookstore you can check it out online here and have your class schedule handy, fill out the class information and everything you need for class will be listed.

Be sure to get your student ID as well if you do not have one yet- you can get this at the office locatedĀ  across from the bookstore in Whitewater Hall (WZ). From the front doors take left and head down just one flight of stairs- you can't miss the bookstore, the room to get your ID is straight ahead off the stairs. Be sure to have your photo ID (driver's license, passport, OR state ID), a printout of your current schedule (make sure it has your first and last name located on it), and your 10 digit student ID number. These are free but if you have lost yours please be sure to have $5 for a replacement fee. Why you should you have a student ID? One, you can get a lot discounts from many places around Richmond. Two, it can save you money, so be sure to check out the discounts. Three, its your library card to use in the library located in Hayes Hall (HZ). There probably many other reasons to have a student ID and I only listed three so it would be a good idea to get one and they are free to get the first time so be sure to keep them in a safe place.

Thanks for reading everyone and have a great and safe week!
