Intercampus Transfers

The Indiana University system enables students with good academic standing to transfer easily among the eight campuses. Transfer credits are evaluated on a course-by-course basis, however most credits will transfer due to the similarity of course work on the various campuses.

Students transferring to IU East from another IU campus should contact IU East's Office of the Registrar for more information and instructions. Current IU East students wishing to transfer to another campus should discuss their plans with their advisor and contact the Dean or designated advisor at the campus they plan to attend. The IU Intercampus Transfer Application must be submitted prior to transfer.

Academic Advising and Registration

After a Transfer Student has earned admission and received their formal acceptance letter from the Office of Admissions, all Transfer Students must meet with an advisor before enrolling for classes. If Transfer Students would like to attend a New Student Orientation session they are welcome to but it is not mandatory. Once an advising appointment is made with a faculty advisor please contact Larry Johnson at 765-973-8416 and inform him of your appointment, so your Transfer Credit Evaluation can be done before the your appointment with your advisor.
